Nora
The city of Nora were founded from
the Fenice in VIII century. It is situated to the feet of a cape,
dominated from one Spanish tower of the 500, in particularlyposition.
The city prospered for approximately 1500 years: to the fenice, and
after the Cartagine and then the Romans; probably around to the WAYS
century d.C. the last inhabitants were forced to abandon Nora for
the continuous incursions of the barbaric, Pirates coming from the
Africa North.
Nora was an important port of trades, to the center of the routes
that connected the great ports of the Mediterraneo. Of the Punic
period remain quarters, rooms and sanctuaries, like the temple
dedicated to the goddess Tanit, and also one necropoli partially
conserved.
Of
the roman lived, is visible, only the imperial period. In that
period the city was uniform in quarters: thermal complexes
with mosaics, the hole, a splendid theatre, a market, temple, and
rooms, between which it enunciates, for its beautifulst mosaics
policromi, "the house of the entrance hall teatral"
